Skins, 2024

Hand dyed cotton, linen, copper wire

Through the blend of organic and unconventional materials Skins explores the performative nature of weaving and the body engagement that it requires, delving deeper into themes of identity, memory, repetition, cycles, and intimacy.  This piece invites the audience to perceive these woven cloths as delicate and permeable layers of skin. Interacting with each other and the space, these become tangible presences.
